Kensie Westerfield, a native of Charleston, holds bachelor’s degrees in corporate communications and journalism from Elon University in North Carolina. Recently, Westerfield was one of the five partners that purchased West Virginia Executive and Executive Meeting Planner magazines under the new parent company Executive Ink, LLC and serves as the editor in chief. Westerfield is a member of Generation Charleston, a volunteer for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and a board member of the Summer Challenge of Champions Horse Show. Westerfield has been riding and showing American Saddlebred and Friesian horses for the past 19 years and continues to help her parents in operating Hamilton Farms, LLC. Jennifer Nugent is a co-owner of Executive Ink, LLC, the publishing company for West Virginia Executive and Executive Meeting Planner magazines. Nugent began her writing career with Ogden Media in 2005. She began penning stories as a child and spends her free time working on her first novel. The former editor of MetroValley magazine, Nugent continues to edit and write for Executive Ink. She resides in Cross Lanes with her husband, Caleb, and her cat, Kitty Meow. April Plank is one of five partners of Executive Ink, LLC—the new publisher of the West Virginia Executive and Executive Meeting Planner magazines; where she is the director of Executive Meeting Planner and chief operating officer of the new company. A native Buckeye, Plank attended the Ohio State University and Ivy Tech State College for business and accounting. Plank lives near Charleston with her 10-year-old daughter, Aubrey, her three-year-old son, Abbott and their cat, Simon. Mark Lamborn, originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, has lived in West Virginia since 1991. As the Director of Business Development and later the Vice President of Business Development, Lamborn has been part of the magazine’s growth and evolution since the beginning by pushing the limits of the kinds of companies that could and should be represented in the publication. Lisa Affolter is a cum laude graduate from Marshall University who received her bachelor of fine arts in graphic design in May 2006. Before graduating, she interned at the Birke Art Gallery on the Marshall University campus. In addition to designing magazines, Affolter works on a variety of projects including print advertising, business proposals and Web sites.
